Earlier this week, I announced I am running for Senate District 14. Current Senator Al Jackson will not be seeking re-election and according to his website, will be moving back east to support his son, Frank, who will be playing for Duke University.
Over the course of this campaign, we will have many opportunities to talk about policy, but today, I want to share the type of leader I believe we need. We need leaders who listen, not lecture. We need leaders who look for solutions, not just the next soundbite. We need leaders who understand that diversity and differences make for a richer, more robust conversation and are to be welcomed at the table. I have a track record of doing just that and would be honored to represent the many voices of Senate District 14 on Utah’s Capitol Hill.
I am honored to have the support of people like Senator Deidre Henderson, who had this to say: “Holly Richardson is a woman of integrity. She has gained unparalleled experience through a wide range of public service, resulting in a deep reservoir of knowledge. Residents of Senate District 14 will be well served by her fearless leadership, commitment to conservative principles, and thoughtful approach to issues.”
I have a new campaign website I invite you to check out: HollyforSenate.com (Creative, right?!)
I’d love to have your support, through donations, help with phone calling, door knocking, signs (later in the campaign), cottage meetings and the many things that go in to making a successful campaign.
In the meantime, here’s my first video:
